Bullet Resistant Glass Company in India

Bullet resistant glass is a strong but transparent material that cannot be penetrated when struck. However, it is not completely impenetrable and can be blow up. This type of glass is made from a hard and a soft type of glass. The soft layer provides elasticity and can flex instead of shatter. Bulletproof glass can be from three-quarters of an inch to three inches in thickness.

This type of glass is manufactured using thermoplastic and polycarbonate plus layers of laminated glass. It is designed to make standard glass protected from small arms fire. Polycarbonates are sandwiched between layers of regular glass and the glass itself is tempered. Tempering is heating and cooling or using a chemical process to make the glass itself stronger.

The logistics of bullet resistant glass incudes the glass flattening the bullet and the plastic layer deforming and absorbing the rest of the energy. This prevents bullet penetration. The ability of the polycarbonate layer to protect you is proportional to the thickness.

The polycarbonate layer has two types of coatings. Once is a soft coats that “heals” itself after being damaged, and a hard coating that prevents attacks. Most bulletproof glass is also resistant to physical assaults from clubs, crowbars, hammers and axes.

To ensure that your glass is actually bullet and assault resistant, these materials are tested by using a gun, firing a projectile from a set distance, and into the glass. When the shots do not penetrate into the interior they do leave dents which are measured to determine how much more glass and polymers should be added to provide maximum protection.

Bullet Resistant Glass

Bullet resistant glass is a type of material that is strong by nature and visually transparent. As the name suggests, bullet resistant glass is used to protect people from gun shots.

This type of glass is mainly used to protect people of great importance. These people are mainly delegates visiting other nations or high government officials addressing the public. Earlier, it was only used in cars as windows, so as to ensure that the people traveling inside reach their destination safely. In recent times, there have been incidents where people have not only been saved from gunshots but even from blasts.
Bullet resistant glass is made with precision so that it does not fail in fulfilling its purpose. The kind of glass that protects to its full potential is called hard glass. It comprises of rare chemicals like polycarbonate, thermoplastic and certain layers of laminated glass. Such elements are used to ensure that the final product is fully efficient and does not lack in quality or protection.

Earlier in our country, the bullet resistant glass had to be imported from various countries due to lack of knowledge and skills. But now companies like TTGA have mastered the ways of production of such intricate glass-wear. TTGA has been in the industry for the better half of the 21st century, over which it has evolved into one of the leading manufacturers of bullet resistant glass. With changing times, bullet resistant glass is slowly becoming a mandate not just for the VIPs but even the general public who are worried about their own wellbeing as well.
